Afghani Burqa
Designed for sisters seeking a greater level of modesty and coverage, our Afghani Burqa combines the beautiful, flowing drape of our Chador with the added coverage of a long, built-in niqab veil at the front.
The eye area features a carefully selected mesh netting, creating the traditional burqa effect while allowing visibility through the fabric. Unlike thicker, more opaque eye coverings, the lightweight mesh is designed to provide additional concealment without unnecessarily obstructing vision.
With its graceful, full-length drape and generous coverage, the Afghani Burqa offers a practical and timeless option for sisters who prefer a more complete form of Islamic covering.
A little note on length:
This garment was intentionally designed with extra length to accommodate our taller sisters and offer more flexibility across different heights.
The item is 64inches (162cm) from the temple of the head to the floor.
Rather than pre-shortening the garment to set lengths, we chose to keep the full length so each sister can tailor it to the fit and coverage she personally prefers. If you are on the shorter side, you may find that a simple hem alteration is needed to achieve your ideal length.
We love that this allows each garment to be personalised to you. Whether you prefer it slightly longer, shorter, or somewhere in between.
Please keep this in mind when selecting your garment, as alteration costs are not included in the purchase price.
ELASTIC BAND FEATURE
This garment features an elastic band designed to sit securely at the back of the head, helping the garment stay comfortably in place throughout wear.
When first worn, the elastic may feel slightly firm or snug. This is intentional, as the elastic has been designed to gradually relax and mould to each sister’s individual head shape with continued wear.
Beginning with a firmer fit allows the garment to accommodate a wider range of head sizes while still providing that secure feeling once worn in.
As the garment becomes accustomed to you, the elastic should naturally soften and adjust for a more personalised, comfortable fit.
